Mohammed Alahmad Ketmawi has more than 25 years of experience in global financial services.
He began his career in the City of London with Thomas Cook Travelex UK and Alpari UK before relocating to Dubai, where he held senior executive roles including COO and CEO of Alpari Middle East and later CEO of AxiTrader Middle East. In these positions, he led regulated operations, strengthened governance structures, and scaled businesses across international markets.
In 2016, he co-founded Equiti Group, a global financial institution operating across Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East through multiple regulated entities. Under his leadership, Equiti expanded from a brokerage-focused platform into a broader financial ecosystem spanning trading technology, asset management, payments, and financial infrastructure.
As Vice Chairman of Equiti Group, Mohammed provides strategic oversight and governance leadership, supporting disciplined growth and long-term value creation.
He also operates as an active investor, working with companies across financial services, fintech, payments, and infrastructure, applying a consistent philosophy of conviction-led investment, disciplined governance, and long-term alignment.
